Nate has been drawing Washingtons wonks since he joined the Eagle on his first day at AU in 1998. Four years and hundreds of sketches later, he graduated from the School of Communication destined for an award-winning career as an editorial cartoonist. Since 2004 Beeler has been an internationally syndicated cartoonist based at the Washington Examiner, where he often draws the wonk-in-chief, Barack Obama. Beeler has created a special line of wonk characters—from a global wonk to an arts wonk to an athletics wonk—for his alma mater. They have been reproduced on limited-edition T-shirts and will be the focus of a comic strip in upcoming editions of American magazine.
